Distanzstücke gibt es in verschiedenen Designs und Materialien. Die gängigsten Arten von Distanzstücken sind sogenannte 4-Loch, geteilte Wand oder offene Distanzstücke. Sie sind in Aluminium, Holzfaserlaminat, Kunststoff oder Gummipackungsmaterial erhältlich. Welches Sie benötigen, hängt davon ab, wofür Sie es verwenden möchten. Distanzstücke werden für verschiedene Zwecke verwendet. Die 2 Hauptgründe sind, das Leistungsband Ihres Motors anzupassen oder Wärmeprobleme zu vermeiden; wie Dampfsperre.
